On Sunday 21 October 2018, the “Forum on Cultural Industry Going Global under the Belt and Road Initiative” and Seminar on Translation and Publishing Cooperation for Overseas Distribution was held in Chengdu. 

Representatives from more than 40 publishing houses discussed the themes of “Cultural Industry Going Global under the Belt and Road Initiative”, and translation and publishing cooperation for overseas distribution. The forum jointly witnessed the signing of a strategic agreement between Lan-bridge Group and Sichuan People’s Publishing House to jointly build the Sichuan People’s Publishing House Editorial Department in London.

During the forum, the representatives from the attending publishers introduced the original titles from their lists. Experts attending the forum were available to answer the publisher’s questions on selling translation rights, list planning, and announcing new projects. With a positive atmosphere dedicated to sharing information and experience, delegates said that the forum was a great success in finding new directions for future cooperation.
